{Before my journey started at OTBC I was a Home Base Caregiver. One day I was working in the Kraaifontein area and saw On The Ball College. I went in and all my questions were answered, they accommodate you in every way possible. After 6 months of doing my office admin course I still stayed in touch with the staff until they phoned me to come for an interview by them and here I am today working for them in the field that I studied for. I couldn’t be happier. On The Ball College is all about believing in their students and walking with them and keeping their word.

{My name is Nicholas Arendse. I originally wanted to be a chief or an architect. When it came down to making the decision all my subjects overlapped and I  decided to take CAT which started my IT journey. The courses I have studied are IT Technical Support, Oracle Java Fundamentals 8 and I am in the process of studying Comptia  Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+). Currently working for Stowe Holdings. All my experiences at OTBC have been enjoyable. Even after completing my courses I still have support from the college. My advice to new students: Hard work and dedication will make all the difference and rest is also important. Break subjects down into smaller sub sections and learn little bits at a time.

{I always enjoyed upgrading my computers as a youngster, the passion grew where I wanted to achieve more knowledge as technology started to change each day. I chose OTBC in 2015 to study part-time and attending classes on weekends suited my personal commitments. I felt very comfortable at OTBC which became my 2 nd  home. I completed my Technical support course in 2015 and am now busy with system support. I am currently working at ITLAB. My experience with OTBC is amazing, very supportive staff. The guidance I received for my career growth was the right guidelines that was given.

{My journey to IT started in high school. I was always the one in my family tasked to fix the computers or install computer programs. After school I first applied at CTI for a year to do a basic certificate in programming. After that year I applied at CPUT to further my studies and majored in Applications Development. As part of my in-service training I ended up at On The Ball College.I chose to study at on the ball college as well because I saw it as an opportunity to get an extra certificate. The courses that I studied were NQF Level 5 Software Development as well as Oracle OCA Diploma. I am currently working at Paradigm Solutions/Payment 24. I am working my way into the development area. My experience at OTBC was good, the staff is very friendly and helpful and are always ready to assist me.
